The Power Behind the Ingredients
These honey-roasted Brussels sprouts are simple, but each ingredient plays a role in building flavor, texture, and satisfaction:
- Naturally Nourishing Base: Brussels sprouts are rich in fiber and nutrients like vitamin C and vitamin K, and they roast up beautifully into something crisp on the outside and tender in the center.
- Healthy Fats for Roasting: Olive oil helps the Brussels sprouts caramelize in the oven, creating those golden, crispy edges while adding richness and depth.
- Sweet + Tangy Balance: Balsamic vinegar and honey work together to bring a subtle sweet-tangy glaze that enhances the natural flavor of the sprouts without overpowering them.
- Crunch + Contrast: Pistachios add a satisfying crunch along with plant-based protein and healthy fats, giving the dish more texture and staying power.
- Savory Finish: A sprinkle of parmesan brings a salty, umami-rich finish that ties everything together and rounds out the flavor.
Simple Ingredients, Big Flavor: Each component works together to create a side that’s crispy, balanced, and full of contrast – proof that a handful of simple ingredients can turn Brussels sprouts into something you actually look forward to eating!
